From head to toe: Dior sunglasses, Keepsake dress, Indigo wallet, Sam Edelman sandal stilletos
Every so often, there's a dress that catches your eye and reels you in. You have no urgent use for it, no swanky evening event it demands to be worn to, but you have to have it. That's what happened when I stepped into Holt Renfrew a few months ago and saw this gem swaying on a velveteen hanger, just waiting for me to try it on.
A good friend once told me you have to buy dresses when you don't have any event to wear them to. You may be thinking, why would I want to be all dressed up with no place to go? But this way, you'll have a dress you really love, to wear to your next engagement, and won't resort to a redundant outfit to avoid showing up to your party nude. I promise, you'll know exactly when to pull the dress out of your closet, and be thrilled to debut the look.
I wore this Keepsake dress to my university convocation, and well, it very quickly became a keepsake to me. I had never worn anything like it, but the unique architecture of the dress, paired with its bold, yet feminine print, bewitched me. I styled the dress with a simple sandal from Sam Edelman, a neutral wallet/clutch from Indigo (they have great, simple accessories!), and Dior sunglasses. While I now have my diploma to remind me of that day, I also have this beautiful dress to bring the memories flooding back.
